Kelvin is the Head of Platform Tech Business of Ant International. Since joining Ant Group in 2016, Kelvin took a number of leadership roles in our Global Funds & Treasury team where he led the team in building the world’s leading next-generation global liquidity and treasury system leveraging cutting-edge in-house developed decentralized technology to support the growing needs of our corporate clients in a more scalable and sustainable manner. Under Kelvin’s leadership, together with our major partner banks including JP Morgan, Citibank, Barclays and HSBC, we were able to propel transformation of FX and liquidity management framework connecting five global treasury hubs in Singapore, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, New York and London, covering more than 40 currencies and over 100 currency pairs across 60 entities. Ant Group was awarded the Adam Smith Awards Asia in 2021 as the winner in the best liquidity management solution.
Prior to joining Ant Group, Kelvin was the Head of Corporate Solutions Group for the China region from 2010-2016. He was also the Head of FX Sales of JP Morgan China from 2009 to 2010. Kelvin was an alumni of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

This roundtable represents the latest milestone in the ongoing evolution of Project Guardian, a concerted effort to foster responsible innovation in digital assets while safeguarding financial stability and integrity.
In 2023, Project Guardian had unlocked the potential of traditional finance (TradFi) through decentralised finance (DeFi) with a summary outlining actionable insights. This includes the importance of international collaboration, responsible innovation, and a shift towards outcome-oriented approaches by taking tokenisation from concepts to commercialisation. Emphasising the need to prioritise commercial value over just technological allure, these discussions have set the tone for the pivotal role of Project Guardian in shaping the financial landscape. Looking ahead to 2024, the next phase of Project Guardian aims to accelerate institutional adoption and scalability for asset tokenisation, by unpacking how the industry can work together to fuel this acceleration. The roundtables will focus on the following two asset classes: Foreign exchange and Asset and wealth management (Funds).
