Dr Simon Basler

Simon Basler leads the Digital Assets Initiative Development at UBS and is an integral member of the group-wide Center of Excellence. In this capacity, he provides strategic insights and senior education, ensures governance and oversight, and leads select projects in the realm of digital money.

With over two decades of experience in business development, product management, and technology & operations within the financial sector, Simon has held various cross-functional leadership roles.

He holds a PhD in Business and Economics from the University of Basel, specializing in Wealth Planning of Entrepreneurs, and has a Master in International Relationships, Corporate Finance and Financial Markets, further enriched by specializations in Blockchain and Digital Assets from MIT Sloan and Wharton.
